All contributions follow a clear 80–15–5 allocation framework:

GivBack is independent of Auckland Council.
Council retains responsibility for asset procurement, maintenance contracts, and operational oversight. GivBack provides structured supplementary funding to support approved assets.

The Training Academy receives 5% of contributions and supports accredited vocational training in open-space and maintenance-related sectors, with a focus on youth and disadvantaged communities.
